Kannawidan Ylocos Festival 2022

Image
This festival at the end of January celebrates the best of Ilocos Sur culture, from traditional dress and folk dance to tribal rituals and marching band contests. The Kannawidan Ylocos Festival encourages the younger generations to learn the indigenous songs and dances of the province of Ilocos Sur. It is the Ilocanos’ way of giving thanks to the Almighty not only for the bountiful blessings but also for the rich heritage of the province, including the close family ties among the Ilocanos.

QUARTER 2; Reflection

During the second quarter of Grade 10 ICT, I covered a wide range of topics. The first consideration is internet access and its components. The components of a web browser and how they interact. The URLs and their components. Second, we have a lot of tasks and activities related to HTML tags and how to generate an HTML file, which I really enjoyed. We also talked about how the tags will be written and what role they will play in HTML. The internet has the potential to drastically alter our lives. We continue to use the blog to provide our perspectives on various month themes, such as science month, United Nations month, and teachers' day. These are just a few of the lessons and activities that I learned and made in ICT 10 during the second quarter. Everyone has troubles, but as a student, one of the difficulties I've faced is encoding HTML because it was my first time and I had no idea what I was doing. It was quite difficult for me as a student. Moving forward, I'll share...

The Greatest Season of All

Image
The year 2020 became a big bad luck in our country, including the other nations, where pandemic strikes up until now. We Filipinos have this kind of mindset which could not be found in other various countries, and this was our smiles and laughter's despite of many challenges and poverty that we our facing. Its one of the positive traits that we used to have.       Although, we lost a lot of lives and bunch of heartaches, we still have the strength to stand up and celebrate Christmas with our loving family. Many cities are decorating the plazas and buildings with a tall Christmas tree that is usually made up of recycled materials. Of course there are may of the authorities who are observing the people's distances to each other. Families are decorating their own houses with "parol", Christmas lights and preparing something for Christmas Eve.      We can truly see the presence of Christmas among our fellow Filipinos during the pandemic. VIVA VIGAN! VIVA LONGGANISA FESTIVAL!!!

Every year on January 25, Vigan City Fiesta is celebrated. It was the feast day of St. Paul the Apostle, Vigan City's patron saint, who was converted. The Vigan City Fiesta is usually held over a few days. It involves the commemoration of Vigan's cityhood anniversary, which takes place every January 27.      People from all over the country and even from abroad come to Vigan to celebrate the fiesta when everything was normal and there was no COVID. Tourists come to enjoy the cultural shows, parades, and street dancing organized by the local government with the assistance of local businesses and communities. There are also food fairs, art and craft shows, and a visiting carnival. Participants from the region's neighboring provinces are also sent to compete in the street dancing.      Despite the presence of an invisible monster threatening the world this year, Vigan City did not fail to hold a simple fiesta celebration. The fiesta was sim...

Madadapa pero tatayo: The Resilience of Filipinoes

Image
After enduring numerous hardships, we, the Filipino people, have developed a high level of resiliency. It is critical for a country to be able to recover from setbacks. Typhoons, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes are all possible in the Philippines. As a result, the government established certain programs aimed at bolstering the country's resilience. The resilience of Filipinos may be assessed in terms of disasters that strike our country, which is a serious concern. Throughout the year, we are accustomed to 16-24 typhoons, earthquakes, and even volcanic eruptions. Floods wreak havoc on entire cities and towns. And this is the year in which we must begin and rebuild, in order to discover reasons to survive and thrive. Always be on the lookout for what's next in terms of humanities, relief operations, and year-long community and building rehabilitation.  To continue to live out our cycle of loss, rebuilding, and adversity as Filipinos and Filipinas born, bred, and raised. Our ...

Reflection on Quarter 1

We covered a wide range of topics in Grade 10 ICT during the first quarter. First and foremost, I have discovered when and who discovered the internet, as well as those who have contributed to this knowledge. The second is a definition of the internet and its components, as well as how a web server and a web browser work together. Nowadays, the internet is one of the sources we use to search for information. The internet has the potential to significantly alter our lives. Third, there are internet architects who have made significant contributions to the internet, both nationally and internationally. Fourth, when it comes to search engines, there are techniques that can be used to reduce the number of results even further, such as phrase searching, Boolean logic, Pseudo-Boolean logic, and term weighing. Finally, I learned a lot about blogs and how to post on the internet from them. Blogs have both advantages and disadvantages for students. These are just a few o...
